Taking advantage of opportunities

Feb 27, 2017 | Emerging Trends

Investing, like many things in life, is about taking advantage of opportunities when they present themselves. The problem is we are offered opportunities every day and weighing up which opportunities are good and which are bad can be a tricky business. We hear horror stories constantly about people who have been scammed in one way or another so many of us are naturally sceptical. However, that doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t be aware of genuine opportunities.

Opportunities can present themselves in many ways, especially in business and the world of finance. This may be the opportunity to buy shares, invest in an established or newly formed business or may be buy an investment property. There are lots of opportunities out there, it is just finding the best one for you but very often it will take the form of an investment property. There are many reasons for this but the most obvious are that they are tangible investments and there is a high demand globally for rental properties.

Most of us are looking for guarantees when we make investments. This may be in the form of a guaranteed return over a guaranteed period or it may just be a capital guarantee. Whilst guaranteeing the capital value won’t fall with property is very difficult, market trends show that generally speaking, property does tend to appreciate over the long-term. The question then is: how do I get a guaranteed rental return, for a guaranteed period?

This is something that can be quite hard to find but is something that an increasing number of developers are offering. This type of deal is, at this stage at least, something that seems to be associated most commonly with holiday properties in popular tourist destinations. It is maybe for this reason why you may have to look for these types of opportunities overseas rather than in your home country. This may seem daunting, but if you do you due diligence and your research then it is nothing to be too concerned about.

One example of such as scheme is offer offered by the New Nordic Group in Pattaya, Thailand. They are offering a 10% rental guarantee for periods of anything from 5 to 20 years. This may raise a few eyebrows and may be have people thinking that this is “too good to be true” but if we were to tell you that New Nordic have been offering this deal for around a decade you may feel more relaxed. Every monthly payment has been made on time and in full on every occasion proving that the concept is both attractive to investors as well as being sustainable.

The group already owns much of the land on which they are currently building or looking to build upon and they have completed literally dozens of properties so occupancy rates required to meet all obligations are relatively low. This sound, tried and tested business model is the envy of many other developers who have tried to emulate the model but without the infrastructure or the necessary cashflow.

New Nordic are an ideal example of a way of taking advantage of great opportunity when it presents itself in something that would be classed as a relatively risk-free environment.

10% p.a. returns, especially for low risk investments are almost unheard of these days so this would seem like the perfect investment to help you to get your money to work for you. It is all about taking advantage of opportunities and this opportunity from the New Nordic Group is one that should be considered very seriously.
